QR Code Generator for PPWR Packaging
Generate a country-specific disposal QR code for your packaging. When scanned, the code opens a public Pack Declare page that tells your customer exactly which bin to use — in their local language. Free, no signup, 2027-ready.
https://packdeclare.com/disposal/ES?sku=SKU-DEMO-001&material=plasticWhen scanned, the QR opens a country-specific disposal instructions page hosted by Pack Declare. PPWR mandates digital labelling from 2027 — this is a rehearsal.
Frequently asked questions
Is digital labelling actually mandatory?
Not this one, and not yet. PPWR Article 12(1) requires a harmonised material-composition label from 12 August 2028 — or 24 months after the Commission adopts the implementing acts defining it, whichever is later — and those acts had not been adopted at the time of writing. The QR carrying disposal information for each packaging component is explicitly optional: Article 12(1) says operators 'may' add it. A digital carrier is only mandatory for reusable packaging (Article 12(2), 2029 at the earliest). So treat this generator as a voluntary customer-experience tool that rehearses the workflow — not as a compliance artifact.
What does the QR code link to?
A public page at packdeclare.com/disposal/{country}?sku=...&material=... that shows the correct sorting instructions for that country and material. Pack Declare hosts it indefinitely — so the QR you generate today keeps working.
Does this replace Triman + Info-Tri in France?
No. France's Triman logo and Info-Tri pictograms remain printed obligations on household packaging. The QR code complements them — it's a machine-readable layer that most EU countries are moving toward. When France publishes final 2027 requirements, our adapter will generate Triman-matching artwork alongside the QR.
Can I use this without signing up?
Yes. Everything is client-side. No data is logged. If you want per-SKU batch generation or analytics on QR scans, you'll need a Pack Declare account — but for testing and small batches this tool is free forever.
What error-correction level does the QR use?
Medium (M, ~15% recovery). That works well on printed labels down to ~20×20 mm. For smaller labels or poor print quality, re-generate with a higher resolution.
