The rules behind this map are the actual national ones: Germany has no threshold and requires LUCID registration from the first parcel; the Netherlands requires nothing below 50,000 kg/year (except single-use plastic and deposit packaging); Sweden explicitly covers foreign distance sellers. Whether you need an authorised representative is not a list on this page: it is worked out by the same rule engine the paid product uses, against today's date. Since 12 August 2026 the PPWR (art. 45(3)) asks EU-established companies for one in every other member state where they sell; for companies established outside the EU it leaves the choice to each country, so the map says “likely” where we have not read the national rule and gives the national basis where we have. Since 10 July 2026 France requires every seller not established in France to appoint a mandataire there, who joins the eco-organisme on your behalf. A proposal to suspend the PPWR duty for EU-established producers is pending and unadopted; the map shows it as a caveat, not as a reason to wait.
The check covers packaging EPR. Batteries, electronics (WEEE), and textiles are separate producer responsibility streams — the check flags them so you know they exist, without pretending to map them.
Your answers are not sent to our servers — the map is computed in your browser.
